265 Wicked
- Manufacturer: Riedell
Boot: Riedell 265 (black or white)
Plate: Powerdyne Dynapro aluminum
Wheels: Radar Tuner (blue, tho any color by request)
Bearings: Kwik ABEC 9 speed bearings
Sizes: Whole or half (men's) sizes, Combo last D/B.
Sizing: Measure on Riedell stick, should be fairly close to correct.
For example, Romo's feet are 9 3/4". Her size on the Riedell stick is 7. In the 265 boot she wears a 7 (FYI, she wears a women's size 9 shoe).
Generally what skaters upgrade to after they've trashed their 1st pair during their rookie year. They fit pretty true to size and don't have a long break-in time. Romo likes the rolled collar (tho you can get it without for $).
As of October 2010, Riedell has gone back to offering the Tuner wheels on this skate, which we are really happy about. We love the Tuners, as they are a good all-around wheel, offering a fair amont of grippy without being muddy, and still a wide profile, if you are still perfecting your stride or just prefer to have a little more under you than a slim wheel. Last year Riedell changed the 265 boot to fit better, by making it "combo last D/B" rather than just a straight "medium" width. This narrower ankle keeps your foot from sliding around as we take the tight left turns of the track. Woot!
